01 / BEFORE THE MOVE

Get the details right

Confirm every number being moved with Wirely, including any fax, alarm, elevator or payment-terminal lines.Grab your current carrier’s name, your account number, and your transfer PIN (sometimes called a port-out PIN). Send the PIN straight to your Verizon account manager. Already done that? You’re all set, skip this step.Your port date will be determined by your Verizon account manager.Run the Connection Check and have IT review Verizon’s ports, firewall settings and the actual phone network.

Make sure all phones are out of their boxes, plugged in and able to make an outbound call.Have your preferred greetings, business hours, call routing and voicemail instructions ready for setup.Set up your Wirely billing and support accounts with the business email you gave us. 02 / DURING THE MOVE

Keep the right people available

Have someone around during the port. Your old phone service should keep working until the numbers move to Verizon, so keep it active until calls work on your Verizon phones.

03 / AFTER CONFIRMATION

Make sure everything works

After Wirely confirms completion, test inbound calls from an outside phone and outbound calls from each device.Check transfers, ringing groups, voicemail, caller ID and any fax or other dependent services.Confirm emergency-service addresses are correct. Ask Wirely about the approved verification procedure; do not place a live 911 test call without prior coordination.Keep your old carrier’s service active until the port to Verizon is complete.
